Bank Holiday: 1st Stop – Alton Towers
Bank Holiday is a public holiday both in the UK and Ireland. There are a total of 4 Bank Holidays and these fall on the 1st and last Monday in May and 1st and last Monday in August. It means a long weekend for most of the working sectors and during these days, people tend to have a short break somewhere away from their place. I say most because those who are providing emergency assistance are not always able to have this break.
I mentioned in my previous post that we’re off to Bristol then Wales, but plans changed so now our first stop is Alton Towers – Water Park, then Wales. I believe it’s much more fun for both kids and kids at heart.
A whole day of water fun!

Rain or shine, I’m sure everyone will love this stop since it’s a covered place and they say, no pool is deeper than an adult’s waist line so I believe it’s a very safe place for kids. I am gonna post a review about the place when we get back.

Holidays at Peak District
Bank Holiday is only a week away also, summer holiday is already aroud the corner. For families in the United Kingdom, most specially for families with school aged kids, going outside the city during breaks is important to be able to unwind and spend quality time together.
One great place that every family should visit is the Peak District and it’s important to find the best Peak District Accommodation that will be very affordable and accessible to the views and events in the place. And the one best criteria that a mum like me considers is that the place must be child-friendly. Our daughter’s enjoyment should always be our first priority and I guess, it’s the same for all parents.

Bank Holiday in Bristol and Wales
We are set to spend next week’s Bank Holiday (long weekend) in Bristol and Wales with our dear friends, Tita Kaye, Tito Jay and Ate Marina. It’s also Alyssa and Marina’s half-term (1 week school holiday) so it’ll be a great break for us and the kids. Hubby’s college classmate and officemate with his wife are living in Bristol so we won’t be thinking of our first night anymore since we can sleep over in their house. However, we will need to stay somewhere else in Wales. We are now on the lookout for affordable hotels and Peak District Cottages to spend a night before exploring the beauty of Wales.

This week’s weather has really been so lovely that we are able to go out in just shirts and shorts. We are expecting a warmer weather next week and a very meaningful and memorable break outside London.
One of the places that we’re visiting is Betws-y-Coed in Snowdonia North Wales. It is known to be the most popular inland resort in North Wales. It is consist of different parks and each shows the beauty of nature. The Swallow Falls is said to be one of the loveliest spot in North Wales. Hhmm… I can imagine a place something similar to Niagara Falls…
Some other nice spots are the castle called Mighty Caernarfon Castle and The Snowdonia National Park. They said, the Llanberis in Snowdonia Park is the major attraction these days. It’s where the highest mountain in England and Wales is and it can be reached through train or walk and oh, it’s over three thousand feet high!
This post is making me more excited. I can’t wait for next week!
I need a nature break! Well, one thing’s for sure, we’ll be going nature tripping on this year’s Bank Holiday and I’m sure it’s gonna be fun fun fun!!!
