Saturday It Is!

I have not had the chance to actually practice my baking and cake decorating skills (pretending I have the skills ) for the past 2 weeks as something really really important is about to happen this Saturday and I just love to get involved in organizing it. If only I could do all the organizing myself, I will gladly do it as this is for someone who means so much to me. But then I will spill the beans after Saturday.

I have been sleeping late for a couple of days now since I can’t be there to organize first-hand, I need to help to the best that I can. I made the invites which took me so many revisions, tried contacting the caterers online to inquire, do the AVP and work on the theme to make sure it will be well executed on the venue. My hormones is really not used to my sleeping so late so now I’m on the lookout for some best acne treatment and hopefully they go away fast.

Hubby’s soon turning the BIG 3-0!!!

…and he’s not so happy about it! He said it’s the birthday that should be celebrated unobtrusively. haha!!! Well, I know he’s just joking about it. He’s the kind of person who gets excited on his special day. I was actually teasing him while we were having dinner if he’s afraid of the upcoming changes to his human growth hormone that’s why he doesn’t want to turn 30, aside from the fact that his age will soon be out of the calendar.

Do I have something to spill here as for the possible surprises? hhmm… if ever there is, I’d better keep it to myself first – who knows, the mouse might be running around.

Seriously, for me turning 30 is one thing worth celebrating. I’m still 5 years away and being able to celebrate my 30th birthday means that I already have a 10 year old and that I have been in this blissfull life for 30 years. I just have to count my blessings and this for sure will make my 30th birthday a fab event in my life.

Brain Twisting Every VDay

It’s Valentines Day again… Time to twist this brain and try hard to be creative. Valentines Day is so special to us that no matter how simple we celebrate it, we always make sure it’ turns out to be as special and worth remembering.

Will it be something usual? A valentine mug, huge card, boys clothes with naughty lines? Or a romantic candle-lit dinner at home or somewhere more special?

For someone like me who’s poor at surprises, I find it a bit frustrating that no matter how much effort I exert in thinking about it and making it happen, still it turns out ordinary. Well, I guess it’s because I have the best husband in the world who’s such an expert when it comes to surprises. I can never match his creativity and well, spell E-F-F-O-R-T!!! All I can do is to appreciate and be grateful for the fact that I am that special girl who always gets to enjoy it.
