Shall I Pursue Higher Education?
This morning, I had a quick chat with one of my mentors in college, Ma’am Eunice Areola. She was our department’s chair, but when I entered the organization, she stepped up to a higher position so we were not able to actually work together. However, this didn’t hinder me from getting close to her, instead I looked up to her more and made her one of my inspirations. We got her as one of our godmothers in our wedding which I believe binds us more personally.
We were just having a casual chat until she ended with another words of wisdom, “Continue with your dream, even if it’s already late.” (These are not the exact words, but this is how I understood it.) I remembered her advice to me before when she learned that I will be joining hubby here in London right after graduation. She said, it would be good if I get my MBA degree here and enter the world of education because there are greater opportunities for me in that field.
Now, a new thought came in – shall I pursue higher education? I know I already proclaimed myself as a “No Career Woman”, but upon looking to Ma’am Eunice, I realized that where she is now and what she has become didn’t make her less of a mom to her 3 kids. I’m just not sure if I can be as flexible as her, but one thing’s for sure – it’s not impossible.
This thought made me browse for some good universities, like the University of Redlands, Inland Empire college, California business school or other business schools just around London.
I don’t know what’s in store for me in the future, but one ultimate dream I want to achieve is to have a successful restaurant that I can grow. I don’t know how, but hopefully in time, I can have the sign that it’s achievable.

If you really want it Marz, then pursue it. Go and fulfill your dreams.
As for me, I am contented of being a stay at home mom but I still want to pursue knowledge. I am still planning to go back to school and get MBA or second course like Education. I am not planning to work again but I am only planning to keep my brain alive. Hehehehe…
